Médecins du Monde (MdM) is an international humanitarian organization whose mission is to provide medical care for the most vulnerable populations, the world over, including France. It seeks to stimulate voluntary commitment from doctors, other health care providers, and from those whose expertise in other fields is needed for its activities, to enlist all competent support required for the achievement of its projects, and to seek at all times to encourage close working relationships with populations in its care.

For our program in Nigeria, Maiduguri and Jere LGAs, to support our Medical Activities,

we are looking for Medical Doctor to start on September, 15th, 

Under the supervision of the Health Program Coordinator, the Medical Supervisor will be responsible for the following main activities in accordance to national and MdM procedures:

  •        Providing technical support to MC (mobile clinic) & OTP (outpatient therapeutic program) staff: train MC & OTP staff on medical & paramedics protocols, supervision of MC & OTP staff, on-the job trainings, train & supervise CHWs, participation in improving referral system, supervision on drugs stock management.
  •        Management of MC & OTP teams: organization of weekly schedule, provision of strong leadership to ensure MC & OTP staff understand and work according to MdM principles.
  •        Collection and analysis of health  & pharmaceutical data: Ensure that MC & OTP staff is fully conversant with data collection tools, accurate collection and analysis of MC & OTP data, monitoring of drugs consumption, identifying and rectifying gaps or weaknesses in medical activities by using monitoring and supervision tools.
  •        Developing coherent project implementation strategy: assisting in preparing and implementing operational action plan, assisting in the implementation of the project activities, assisting in preparing data collection tools and medical protocols..
  •        Reporting and attendance to different meetings: preparing weekly activities report, compilation of epidemiological data and analysis, compilation of MC drugs consumptions and analysis, participation to meetings.

  •        Experience in similar position for at least 2 years
  •        Good knowledge in nutrition
  •        Capacities in team management
  •        Strong sense of responsibilities and organization skills
  •        Strong work ethic and rigor
  •        Languages (spoken and written): English
  •        Flexibility
  •        Team player
